Water is a scarce resource that must be defended and protected
At Captoplastic, sustainability is at the core of our mission. We have developed an innovative technology that directly addresses the urgent issue of microplastic pollution in water, contributing positively to several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our technology not only directly contributes to the conservation of oceans, seas, and marine resources (SDG 14), but also improves water quality, ensuring universal access to clean drinking water and adequate sanitation (SDG 6), thereby promoting public health and well-being (SDG 3). Furthermore, this effort also has indirect impacts on biodiversity protection and reducing environmental degradation by preventing water and sewage sludge contamination of terrestrial ecosystems (SDG 15).
Moreover, it has broader implications for other SDGs. By efficiently removing microplastics and enhancing water quality, we actively contribute to SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), showcasing a practical example of sustainable and innovative solutions.
At Captoplastic, we are not only dedicated to developing innovative technologies, but also actively committed to addressing global environmental challenges, in line with our core principles of sustainability and social responsibility.
Captoplastic S.L has obtained funding for the CaptH20PlasticDemo project - S-2020/L1-633 through grants co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund for the development of innovative young technology-based companies (start-ups) and highly innovative SMEs, within the framework of the regional research and innovation strategy for smart specialization (RIS3), under the FEDER operational program of the Community of Madrid for the period 2014-2020.
Captoplastic S.L. has obtained funding aimed at financing projects that have received a Seal of Excellence within the European Innovation Council Accelerator Program (EIC Accelerator, including the pilot phase), under the Horizon Europe program to promote business investment in R&D+i.
